ValueJet 1638UH

The ValueJet 1638UH is an LED-UV printer that handles 64″ (1625mm) wide roll and rigid sheet media up to 15mm thick. Switching between the two modes takes just a few moments.

Featuring a dual, staggered print head design and two LED-UV curing lamps, the VJ-1638UH has production speeds up to 22.71 m²/h @ 720 x 720 dpi.​

No outgassing required – your print jobs are ready to ship as soon as they are printed.

Mutoh UV inks create rich, high density back-lit prints without the need to double-strike so you can still print at the full-speed of the printer. The ink is dry the moment it is printed, so there’s no need for extended dry times or additional dryers as can be the case with other printing methods.

Mutoh LED-UV lamps emit no heat so there’s no need to buy expensive, heat resistant, specialty media. You can print on delicate films and corrugated plastics, like Corflute, without any worry of scorching or warping the media.

Mutoh offers two types of inks for all its UV printer range. Choose LUH1 (hard) inks for regular roll media and flat, rigid sheets and boards; or choose US11 soft inks for roll media requiring crease or limited stretch characteristics.

The optional feed and output tables for rigid media can be and folded vertical and rolled up against a wall in a matter of moments when you’re using the roll-to-roll print capability, giving you more room to move.

There’s eight ink slots, allowing you to set up your VJ-1638UH with either double-CMYK or CMYK plus two White and two Varnish inks, according to your requirements. Use the white ink for backlits or under colour on dark substrates. Use the varnish for spot effects or an all-over gloss.
